Online: Speak Up, Stand Out - Public Speaking for Beginners

Scared of public speaking? You’re not alone! This beginner-friendly class will help you feel more confident when speaking in front of others — whether it’s at work, reading something you wrote, or giving a speech at a special event.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Manage nervous feelings
  • Connect with your audience

Through easy activities and helpful tips, you’ll leave class feeling ready to speak up — no podium panic needed! This class is held live online through Zoom. Please make sure we have your current email so we can send you the Zoom link and PDF handouts before class. If you can’t attend live, you can still sign up and watch the recording later. The instructor also offers follow-up support, so feel free to reach out with questions before or after class.

Your instructor, LeeAnne Krusemark, is a former journalist, published author, Chamber of Commerce past president, and a nationwide speaker who has worked with groups like the Department of the Army and the Kidney Foundation — and even emceed a Junior Miss Pageant!
