Know Your Muslim Neighbor
Join a welcoming discussion to learn more about Islam and the Muslim faith. Explore core beliefs, important religious practices, and how these traditions influence daily life for Muslims. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in a respectful and supportive environment and gain a better understanding of their Muslim neighbors. Together, we will explore common misconceptions, build awareness, and strengthen community connections through open conversation and learning.
Building Blocks of Islam

Building Blocks of Islam has been presenting “Know Your Muslim Neighbor” and related topics in community centers around the Twin Cities since 2011. We also present in schools, churches, workplaces, and other venues. In addition to presentations, we have educational booths at various county fairs and the Minnesota State Fair.
Sound communities are created out of shared effort and responsibility – each action by or for the sake of each individual is like a “building block” that reinforces the community. Thus, we aim to bring Muslims from all backgrounds to work together for the community’s well-being through means that are supported by authentic Islamic teachings – to enjoin good, help those in need, and above all, follow the commandments of Allah.
