Beginner Sewing Class - The Lined Drawstring Backpack

This beginner sewing class is designed for students with no previous sewing experience. Whether you want to learn how to sew on a button, repair a torn seam, or explore sewing as a new hobby, this class is a great place to start.

Students will learn basic hand-sewing and sewing machine skills while working with common sewing tools in a safe and supportive setting. Instruction includes sewing safety, simple hand-sewing stitches, and beginner sewing machine techniques. As students practice their new skills, they will build patience, focus, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination.

Participants will complete a beginner-level lined drawstring backpack project and gain confidence using both hand-sewing and machine-sewing methods. By the end of the class, students will have a strong foundation in basic sewing skills and be ready to continue creating projects on their own.

This class is intended for beginner-level sewists with no prior sewing experience. Class sessions may end early based on the pace and progress of the students
