Online: Creative Writing 101: A Beginner's Guide

This is an online class held via Zoom. Please make sure your email address is current so we can send the Zoom link before class. PDF handouts will be provided during the class.

Do you enjoy writing stories, sharing personal experiences, or exploring new ideas? This class is designed for anyone who wants to improve their writing skills and learn more about creative writing. No previous writing experience or formal training is needed.

Participants will explore different types of creative writing, including fiction and nonfiction, and learn practical techniques to make their writing more engaging and effective. The class covers helpful tips for beginners, ways to generate new writing ideas, techniques for creating vivid descriptions, and strategies for developing a unique writing style. Instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former journalist, author, editor, and publishing professor who has taught at colleges and universities across the country, including Harvard Adult Education.
