Preschool Basics

You’ve signed up for preschool and we want support in preparing your child for this new step.

Preschool Basics is designed specifically for families who have not attended school before. If your 3 or 4-year-old is experiencing school for the first time, this is the perfect opportunity to build their independence and spark a love for learning.

• Focusing on Confidence & Connection: We know that the first classroom experience can be a big step. Our goal is to make it a joyful one! We focus on:
• Building Independence: Gentle practice with separation and self-help skills.
• Classroom Routines: Learning how a classroom works (circle time, centers, and transitions).
• Social Confidence: Meeting new friends and interacting with teachers.

Note: There will be a separate parent time in another room while children play with their peers and teachers.
