This class teaches you how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults. You will learn how to use barrier devices and understand the steps for using an automated external defibrillator (AED). At the end of the class, participants will receive a course completion e-card that is valid for two years. SAVE A LIFE will provide class handouts for all participants. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a book during class for $10.

Minnesota law says insurance companies must give you a 10% discount for three years if you complete a state-approved defensive driving course. This class is taught by trained instructors and takes place at the Educational Service Center. You don’t need to take a test or do any driving. When you finish, you’ll get a certificate to give to your insurance company. This course is offered in partnership with the Minnesota Safety Council.
