Child and Babysitting SafetyHealthThis class teaches kids and teens how to be safe and responsible babysitters. It’s based on a program from the American Safety and Health Institute and is approved by the American Pediatrics Association. You’ll learn: How to watch and care for children How to handle behavior in a positive way How to feed and change babies safely What to do in case of an emergency, including basic first aid and fire safety How to keep yourself safe while babysitting During class, you’ll get to practice with dolls, bottles, and diapers. You’ll also get a handbook you can download and a card to show you’re certified.Youth W-SP 26 -
Home Alone SafetyHealthThis class teaches kids how to stay safe when they’re home by themselves. We’ll talk about what to do in case of an emergency, how to use the kitchen safely, how to stay safe online, and how to handle things like sibling arguments or dealing with strangers. Students will also learn basic first aid and fire safety. After the class, families will receive a handout by email with all the key information we covered.Youth W-SP 26 -
