This small-group class teaches practical, research-based DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills to help you manage intense emotions, communicate more effectively, and respond to life’s challenges with greater confidence. DBT is a skills-based approach that combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness tools to help you stay grounded, build stronger relationships, and navigate stress more skillfully. This class may be a good fit for you if you want to manage overwhelming emotions more effectively, improve communication and strengthen relationships, feel more grounded during moments of stress, or stop feeling like you have to figure everything out on your own. Meaningful change is often easier and more sustainable when you don’t do it alone. Learn and practice DBT skills alongside others working toward similar goals. Each session introduces 2–3 practical skills you can apply right away, along with guided discussion on how those skills are used in real-life situations. This combination of learning and practice helps skills take hold and create lasting change. You’ll learn how to stay grounded during emotional overwhelm, communicate your needs clearly and effectively, and set boundaries with confidence while responding thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively. This class is beginner-friendly and does not require prior therapy experience. It is educational and skills-based (not group therapy or crisis support). If you are currently in crisis or need immediate mental health support, this class may not be the best fit. Space is limited to 8 participants to keep the group supportive and personal—early registration is encouraged.
