BIPOC Parenting Community (Birth-five years old)
BIPOC Parenting (Birth to Five years old) This class is for parents and caregivers who identify as Black, Indigenous or People of Color or are raising children who do. Join a welcoming space to connect, reflect and grow with other families. Come build community through shared experiences, play and conversation. For the 26.27 school year, Osseo ECFE is excited to have received a grant from the Northwest Family Resource Collaborative, to focus on supporting family wellness. As part of this grant, we will be able to contract with some local licensed practitioners to bring some wellness practices and discussions into our class. For the BIPOC class, we are excited to collaborate with the local organization, Reviving Roots for 9 weeks of our semester, as well as an ongoing collaboration with St. David’s Developmental and Therapeutic Services. For children birth to five-years old at the start of the class. Children and parents learn and play together through fun activities for all ages and stages. Parents will discuss topics with a parent educator such as child development, behavior, sibling relationships, screen time and other parenting questions important to the group. Babies under five months stay with their parent during discussion time. Separation, for children older than five months, is based on the group’s needs. -

ECFE Birth–5 Sampler Class – For New Families!
Curious about ECFE? Join us for a birth to 5 mixed age sampler class and experience the joy of learning and connecting with other families! These classes are perfect for families with more than one child, from birth to age 5, offering opportunities for siblings to learn, play, and explore together. Meet other parents, enjoy play-based activities, and see firsthand what ECFE has to offer. Try out a class, meet new families, and see what ECFE has to offer! Classes are geared for those who have not taken an ECFE class before. Sampler classes are free and require registration. -
Familias Hispanohablantes (niños desde nacimiento hasta la edad de cinco)
Familias Hispanohablantes (niños desde nacimiento hasta la edad de cinco) Para los padres, ECFE es un lugar para recibir apoyo de otros padres, hacer preguntas sobre el desarrollo o la educación de su hijo a un maestro autorizado y reflexionar sobre los valores y prácticas de su familia. Esta clase es para familias que hablan español en casa y quieren participar en la conversación entre padres en español.Para el año escolar 26–27, Osseo ECFE se complace en haber recibido una subvención del Northwest Family Resource Collaborative para enfocarse en apoyar el bienestar familiar. Como parte de esta subvención, podremos contratar a algunos profesionales locales con licencia para incorporar prácticas y conversaciones sobre bienestar en nuestras clases. Para las clases en español, nos entusiasma colaborar con una terapeuta local de habla hispana con licencia, quien dirigirá algunas conversaciones sobre cómo apoyar el bienestar familiar. Infants (9-18 months)
For parents or caregivers with infants 9 to 18 months. Interact with your baby in a space designed especially for infants and meet other families with infants. Learn fun play ideas, songs to sing and gain information and support for parenting your baby. Discussion topics typically include: parent and child bond and attachment, adjusting to family life, brain development, developmental milestones, establishing routines, feeding, sleep and more! Infant classes are non-separating classes. Families stay together for the entire class time in a group. -

For parents or caregivers and their infant from birth to 12 months. Register based on your baby’s age when the class starts. Spend time with your baby in a space made just for infants. Meet other families in your community. Learn fun play ideas, songs and get parenting tips. Talk about bonding, brain development, milestones, daily routines, feeding, sleep and more. Families stay together the whole class. No one is separated. -

Infants: Parenting Your Newborn (Birth-12 weeks)
For parents or caregivers with newborns from birth to 12 weeks. Your baby’s first 12 weeks are full of joy, questions and big adjustments. Each week, we will focus on discussion on topics such as your baby’s development, bonding with your baby, sleep habits and caring for yourself. There will be time to connect with other parents of newborns and ask questions. You will also have the option to track your baby’s growth with weekly weigh-ins and measurements. This class is co-facilitated with a licensed Parent Educator and Program Nurse. A lactation consultant may also join the class at times to answer questions. -
LGBTQIA+ Parenting Community (Birth-five years old)
LGBTQIA+ Parenting Community (Birth to Five years old) This class is for queer parents and caregivers, or those raising children who are gender expansive or gender creative. Join a welcoming space to connect, reflect and grow with other families. Come build community through shared experiences, play and conversation. Nature Play Area (Two-five years old)
For parents and children ages two to five years old. Fresh air. Big adventures. Explore, play and learn with your child in our outdoor classroom that is built just for young learners. Dig in the mud kitchen, splash in the water table, climb, build and discover in a space full of nature-based fun. Dress for the weather. Parenting Your Child with Special Needs (Birth-five years old)
This virtual class is designed for parents and caregivers of children from birth through grade three who are navigating developmental delays, disabilities or medical needs. Guided by a Parent & Family Educator, each session offers a supportive space to share experiences, ask questions and build community. Some sessions will also feature guest speakers from Osseo Area Schools’ special education staff or community organizations, providing valuable insights and resources to help your family thrive. -
Practice Preschool (2 1/2-4 years old) Year-long class
For children age 2 1/2 to 4 years old You and your child will explore fun activities, play and learn side by side. Your child will build skills like sharing, taking turns and solving problems. Parents will connect by talking about screen time, building routines, managing big feelings and supporting school success. -
Preschool Together (Three-five years old)
For parents and children ages three to five years old. Explore. Play. Get ready - together. This parent-child class builds confidence, independence, and social skills through fun, hands-on play. Together, you’ll explore activities that spark curiosity and help your child get preschool-ready - with you by their side. -
