Focus will be on identification of bicycle parts, trailside repair, shifting adjustments, brake adjustments, chain maintenance, how to repair/replace a tube (flat tire), and how to safety-check your bike. If time allows, you will also learn basic wheel truing, replacing a chain, how to replace brake and shifting cables. Please bring a bike to class - especially one that needs work! Bike Trailside and MaintenanceOne Day CampsThis hands-on, two-day camp is designed for you to learn how to care for and maintain your bicycle. You will learn basic bike setup, trail‑side repairs, shifting and brake adjustments, tube replacement, and how to re‑cable a bike. The course will also cover helpful tips and tricks for preparing a bike for resale, if desired. Bring a bike to class.
