You’ll go over different types of wires, wire sizes (called “gauges”), and how to use them safely. The instructor will show you how to: Strip wire correctly Attach wires to outlets, switches, and light fixtures Use basic testing tools Please bring straight and Phillips screwdrivers, long-nose pliers, and wire strippers if you have them. This class meets in two separate sessions. The instructor recommends signing up for both Part I and Part II at the same time. Bike Trailside and MaintenanceOne Day Camps3hr class will build from basic to more advanced topics. Many of your bike issues can be solved in this class! Major focus will be on identifying bicycle parts, trailside repair, shifting adjustments, brake adjustments, chain maintenance, how to repair/replace a tube (flat tire), and how to safety check your bike. If time allows, we will also learn basic wheel truing, replacing a chain, and how to replace brake and shifting cables. Please bring a bike - especially one that needs work!
