Online: Moroccan Pastilla: Morocco’s Famous Chicken Pie
Discover the flavors of Morocco by making Moroccan Pastilla (also called Bastilla), the country’s famous chicken pie. This light, flaky dish is made with crisp warqa pastry or phyllo dough and filled with tender shredded chicken, egg stuffing, and sweet orange blossom almond.
Pastilla is known for its unique blend of sweet and savory flavors. It looks impressive, but it’s meant to be shared and enjoyed with friends and family—whether for a special occasion or a relaxed gathering at home. While the pastilla bakes, we will also prepare traditional Moroccan mint tea, a refreshing drink served throughout Morocco as a sign of hospitality. Learn new techniques, enjoy bold flavors, and experience a classic Moroccan dish from start to finish.
